Miss Universe Bahamas 2012: Celeste Marshall * Miss World Bahamas 2013: De’andra Bannister

19-year old Celeste Marshall, from Nassau, was crowned Miss Universe Bahamas during the live ceremony held at the Atlantis resort on July 29th. Standing 1.81 m in height, Celeste will represent the Bahamas during the Miss Universe competition to be held in a date yet to be announced.

Crowned as Miss World Bahamas was 23-year old De’andra Bannister, also from Nassau. De’andra, who stands 1.75 m tall, is a student of dentistry and will represent the islands during the 2013 Miss World competition to be held in Bali, Indonesia.

Miss Supranational Bahamas is 21-year old Deandra Harris, a 1.73 cm tall nursing student. Deandra will travel to Sopot, Poland, to compete for the Miss Supranational 2012 title on September 15th.

Finally, Miss Intercontinental Bahamas is 19-year old Irina Key, who will represent the Bahamas in the Miss Intercontinental 2012 beauty event to be held in a date and place yet to be announced.

14 contestants competed in this year’s edition of the Miss Bahamas beauty pageant.

Miss Teen USA 2012: Logan West from Connecticut

17-year old Logan West, Miss Connecticut Teen USA, was crowned Miss Teen USA 2012 during the 30th edition of the pageant held at the Imperial Ballroom of the Atlantis resort in the Bahamas on July 28th.

The new beauty queen, from Southington, was crowned by outgoing titleholder Danielle Doty and reigning Miss USA Olivia Culpo. Miss Universe Leila Lopes was a special guest at the event, hosted by Colin Hornett and Allie LaForce.

The runner-ups were the teen queens from West Virginia (1st), Michigan (2nd), Oklahoma (3rd) and Ohio (4th).

The Top 16 were named early on and then competed in the swimsuit and evening gown competitions. Those girls were Alabama, Connecticut, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Kansas, Michigan, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Utah, West Virginia and Wyoming.

Oklahoma was chosen Miss Photogenic, while Vermont was voted Miss Congeniality.

It was the 5th time that Atlantis Bahamas hosted the competition, which went off the air in 2007. Since then, it is webcast live by UStream’s official Miss Teen USA channel.

Miss República Portuguesa 2013 * Miss World Portugal 2013: Elisabeth Rodrigues

The new Miss República Portuguesa (Miss World Portugal) is Elisabeth Rodrigues. She was crowned on July 27 and will represent Portugal in Miss World 2013 in Bali, Indonesia.

The 1st runner-up was Indira Ferreira, Miss International Portugal 2012 and will represent her country in Miss International 2012 in Okinawa, Japan in October.

Carmen Fernandes, the 2nd runner-up, is the new Miss Tourism Queen Portugal, and she will go to Miss Tourism Queen International 2012 in China.

Vanessa Henriques, the 3rd runner-up, will represent Portugal in Miss Supranational 2012 in Sopot, Poland in September.

A nova Miss República Portuguesa (Miss Mundo Portugal) é Elisabeth Rodrigues. Ela foi coroada em 27 de julho e irá representar Portugal no Miss World 2013, em Bali, na Indonésia.

O vice-campeã foi Indira Ferreira, Miss Internacional Portugal 2012 e irá representar seu país no Miss Internacional 2012, em Okinawa, no Japão, em outubro.

Carmen Fernandes, o segunda vice-campeã, é a nova Miss Turismo Rainha Portugal, e ela vai para a Miss Turismo Internacional Queen 2012 na China.

Vanessa Henriques, o terceiro vice-campeã, irá representar Portugal no Miss Supranacional 2012, em Sopot, Polônia, em setembro.

Miss Universe Serbia 2012/Mis Univerzuma Srbije 2012: Branislava “Brana” Mandić * Мис Универзума Србије 2012: Бранислава "Брана" Мандића

Branislava “Brana” Mandić, a 20-year old student of pedagogy from Novi Sad, was crowned Miss Universe Serbia 2012 after a special casting call held in Belgrade. The Miss Serbia 2012 competition had a change of date, which would not allow the eventual winner to prepare in time for the international stage.

Branda was the 2nd runner-up in the Miss Serbia 2011 competition. A professional model, she stands 178 cm tall and will represent the country at the Miss Universe competition to be held in the upcoming months in a place yet to be announced.

Бранислава "Брана" Мандић, 20-годишњи студент педагогије из Новог Сада, крунисан Мисс Универсе Србију 2012 након посебног позива ливење одржаном у Београду.Мисс Србија 2012 конкуренција имала промену датума, који неће дозволити да евентуални победник да се припреме на време међународној сцени.

Бранда је 2. пратиља на такмичењу Мисс Србије 2011.Професионални модел, она стоји 178 цм висок и да ће представљати земљу на такмичењу Мисс Универсе који ће се одржати у наредним месецима у месту тек треба да буде објављен.

Miss Universe Sri Lanka 2012: Sabrina Herft

Sabrina Herft was crowned Miss Universe Sri Lanka 2012 during a ceremony held at the Hilton Colombo on Sunday, July 22nd. Sabrina will now represent the country at the Miss Universe finals in a location and date yet to be announced.

Miss Estonia * Miss Eesti 2012: Kätlin Valdmets

24-year old Kätlin Valdmets, from Tallinn, was chosen Miss Estonia 2012 during a small ceremony held last July 12th. The runner-ups were Natalie Korneitsik (23, right) and Margreta Jo0sep (19, left).

Kätlin Valdmets stands 175 cm tall and will now represent Estonia in the upcoming Miss Universe competition to be held in a date and venue yet to be announced.

Täna Toompeal toimunud Miss Estonia 2012 kolme finalisti hulgast valiti Eestit esindama Miss Universumil 24aastane Kätlin Valdmets.

Kätlin Valdmets (24aastane, 175 sentimeetrit, 57 kilogrammi, 87-65-90) on Tallinnast pärit kokk-guvernant.

Peale Miss Estonia 2012 tiitli jagati välja ka Miss Tallinn 2012 tiitel, mille pälvis 23aastane Natalia Korneitsi.

Ühtlasi valiti Korneitsi missivõistluse I printsessiks, mis tähendab, et juhul kui Miss Estonia tiitli pälvinul ei õnnestu kahe nädala jooksul sponsoreid leida ja Miss Universumile minna, võtab tema kohustused üle I printsess.

II printsessi tiitli sai kolmas võistluse finalist 19aastane Margreta Joosep.

Miss Estonia valiti tänavu juba 30ndat korda.

Ka tänavuse iludusvõistluse korraldajaks on Missi-issi Valeri Kirss, kes on võistluse taga seisnud aastast 1988 ning kes omab Miss Estonia kaubamärki ja ainuõigust saata Miss Universumile Eesti esindaja.
